About this policy

Sativa Files is a file-management application developed by indiCa. This privacy policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is used.

Information stored on your device

Sativa Files is designed to manage files on your Android device. The app may access files and folders when you grant the requested Android storage access. File names, folder names, notes, preferences, and locked-folder information are stored locally on your device. Sativa Files does not upload your files to a Sativa Files cloud service.

Sharing and local network features

If you choose to share a file or folder through the app, Sativa Files transfers the selected content only for that user-initiated action. Local-network sharing is intended for devices on the same network. Sativa Files does not sell or trade the contents of your files.

Advertising

Sativa Files uses Google Mobile Ads to display advertisements. Google and its partners may process device and advertising information, such as advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, and diagnostic information, in accordance with Google's privacy policies and applicable consent choices.

Update checks

Sativa Files checks the public Sativa Files GitHub releases page for available application updates. When you choose to update, the app downloads the selected release from GitHub. The update service sends the request to GitHub and does not upload your personal files.

Information we do not collect

Sativa Files does not require an account and does not collect your files, notes, passwords, or locked-folder contents on a Sativa Files server. The app does not sell personal information.

Security

Locked-folder data is protected on the device using the app's security features. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so keep your device and Android software protected and use a device lock.

Children's privacy

Sativa Files is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The current version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
